Copy the latest lame_enc.dll into the CDex directory.

Thanks, I was able to install it without any problems, that's a plus so far. I downloaded lame.exe also wnaspi32.dll ( not sure I need this file) can you please give me a step by step on how to get everything right. I copied lame.exe in the same folder as CDex and also copied wnaspi32.dll in that folder also. Does this program find the names of the track for you? or do you have to manually name each track

But when I open CDex I can't pick LAME nor do I see a option to convert to MP3, can you please help me a bit?

LAME is already there when you open CDex (an earlier version).
Download the latest LAME package
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/audio_encoders/l...
Unzip, and
Quote:
Copy the latest lame_enc.dll into the CDex directory.
Setup CDex to go to the CDDB and see if you are ripping a store-bought CD, it will find all the 'Artist - Title' info for you.
I also setup CDex to output filenames in that artist/space/dash/space/title format (which is kind of a universal standard, it used to be the Napster standard, right?)
Once you get CDex figured out, it is simple - it's great :^)
