I was burning a DVD with a music program running in the background. The music program (Finale) froze, so I repeatedly closed the "this program is not responding" windows, to no avail. After that wouldn't work, I hit ctrl-alt-dlt and selected Finale then went down to end task. But just before I clicked end task Finale ended itself thus highlighting the program below it, Nero. So within that split second I ended Nero in the middle of burning and it closed instantly. The light stayed on steadily after I did this and the tray wouldn't open or close until I restarted the computer. I can still psuedoburn discs, although their content has nothing of value. IE music CDs have the same number and lengths of the tracks but are fuzz, and mp3 cds have no info on them, both even though Nero says it burned 100% It's like it thinks it's burning right but it's actually not. It can still read CDs fine, though haven't tested it reading DVDs or tested a burned DVD from it in my separate DVD player. Any ideas on how to fix this would be wonderful. I think I'm using:
_NEC DVD+RW ND-2100AD as burner (seen from properties of burning drive)
