I need some help, my CD-ROM is stuck and I dont know what to do.
When I push the eject button, a yellow light turns on and it seems that the drive is trying to open but It cant. Please HELP!!
take a paper clip, straighten part of it than insert in small hole in face plate & push in til tray pops open. might want to get a new 1 as about $20Can or a cd burner for $35Can
Once it was suggested to use a small screwdriver and lightly pry open the tray. This can happen if by accident someone put two cd's in the tray at once.
LOL, I have done that before now..........not good.......
I took out my device and opened the unit and removed the discs that way, that way I ensured if there was any damage caused in the first instance, then it would not cause more damage if I tried to open the tray.
The screwdriver should work, use it when you have pressed the eject button (more chance of success, as the mech should be unlocked)
