Sublime77 this question is for you. i have tried to backup my dvd's signs and fear dot com. They both are just over the limit to put on one dvd.. I have tried to do what you have said but i must be doing this wrong (i am doing it wrong because it doesn't work)
Could you please tell me how by using step by step instructions on cutting the credits?
thank you very much.

Just load Ifoedit with the title/movie ifo and scroll down on the large window. You'll see a list with "(Ch 01)" and 02, 03, etc. Double click the first one which should be the credits and a preview comes up. Make sure that is what you want to discard. Remember what V/C id is listed next to it. Select VOB Extras and Strip VOB-IDs. Now pick your destination and check off Create New Ifo files-movie only. Select OK. Now on the new screen check off all the VOB-IDs except the one that you don't want. Click ok or strip it and you're done.
