How to burn a DVD-9 game onto two DVD-5 discs?

I want to back up Act of War: Direct Action. It's a DVD-9, and the image is 5.43GB in size. I do not own a dual layer burner. Is there a way to divide the image into two, so that I can burn it onto two discs? I don't want to splitrar it, because I would like to be able to install it from the discs.

Any hints, tips or tricks?

Well you can do an image of the game and then use WinRAR or another program to compress and break the image in 2 burn the 2 parts then to join the image use Daemon Tools or Nero virtual drive to install the game, well I dunno if this will work but is a weird Idea I just got: get some files and folders into the first DVD and then other files and folders into the other DVD, when the installer tells you that there are missing files in DVD insert the other DVD and it will probbably keep installing, remember these would work if the game can be played without the DVD inside, Ill go for sure with the 1st one, but if you have dvd-rw I will try the 2nd to see what happens although I have tested this with another game Im not sure that It will work with this one.
