naw, but i may well buy my first DL media tomorrow (i literally mean only one however in ripoff Britain i probably won't buy even one as it will be like £50 for one disc). Got the Aviator today and Shrink's got it down to 63% compression as it's a loooong movie. The quality will probably be fine for me though. Still no funny encryptions (bought Ladder 49 and Creep also, nothing funny going on with those either, surprised there aren't 50 posts "can't copy these films"). If the Aviator is any good i'll do a full disc copy to the hard drive and 'consider' buying '1' DL disc.
I keep tellin u guys, it's gonna take new protections to make me budge :)
I did my backup of the Aviator last week, movie only. Just did the usual Shrink and burn, even with the compression it came out fine. It was a good enough movie but I did not think it worth a dual layer, if the price was cheaper for dual layer I might consider it :~)
im going to try to implement some sort of anti-verbatim encryption, then you will HAVE to walk over to the dark side w/ ANYDVD~ :) while the possibility is completely IMPOSSIBLE..just trying to think of ways to get you over here to where the grass is greener and the sun is warm~ AnyDVD has been a godsend for my backups creaky buddy~ :)

i watched a bit of Aviator on a shiny new TY disc. Couldn't watch the whole thing as it's nearly 3hours. Quality looked fine to me, even at 63%. I definitely won't risk the cost of a DL disc in case the movie isn't good enough; i was swayed by Kate Beckinsale being in it more than anything else :)
