ok i bought this mobo

ok heres my question the mobo has 24 pin power the psu has 20 pin what can i do and do i have to return the psu and get one with 24 pin power

yeah,I think your going to have to return the psu and get a 24 pin.I liked the psu though nice color matches my case.

might be better off to get proper psu as it might cost $10-20 Can for that adapter or even more

they are only like 5 to 10 bucks but is it going to effect the performance any

shouldn't but not certain as never used that adapter before. as long as it uses all the primary wires like power good, +/- 3,5,12volts, ground & some others it should work. get 1 & compare to your existing computer psu connector

here are the 2 im lookin at i dont believe i need the 4 to 8 pin adaper though but its cheeper for both on the other hand the ultra x one is made by same peeps that make my psu

i presume that 24pin is actually a 20 # 24-pin ATX Power connector??
if the blue adapter is the same color as the other power cables than go for it
