I/O Magic burner problems

I have a DVD ROM and the I/O Magic burner in my computer. The burner is set as Master. Everything has been working fine for the past 5 months but now suddenly the burner won't read anything. It's a I/O Magic IDVD16DD. I would really appreciate it if someone could give me some idea of what the possible causes could be.

I've RMA'd 3 of these things in the last 4 months due to the same problem.
