I have an LG dvd burner, 12x, dual layer
Nero does see the burner, but it mainly lets me do data DVD's, or copy a
DVD
Perhaps this means it is not seeing it properly??
I am running Win XP, Media centre
When I look for the DVD drive in explorer, it shows it as a DVD-Ram drive - but, then when I right click and go properties, it says type: CD drive - now that you mention it, when I look in my computer, before it said SDVD-Ram drive, now when i refreshed it, it says cd drive - agghh

I can use the drive with DVD Shrink etc fine though
How can I change this to be seen properly as a DVD drive?
nero is good but not the bee all that ends all, had similar issues, try elby's clone dvd clone, as long as you've got the files as ann iso or sorts, all is cool, hope helps my man
