i know in the manual it says that the orange light will turn off when the battery is done charging, but when i checked my battery information on the main menu, it said that i had 100% battery charge even though the light was still orange. does this necessarily mean that even though 100% charge is displayed that it isnt fully charged? and if so, will the battery overheat if the cord is left in?

my Pocket PC did the same thing. It will not kill your battery, just leave it on until the light goes out.

the battery doesnt fully charge until it reaches 100.99%

so when it reaches 100% just wait a couple minutes and then it will shut off

btw you dont see the third and fourth character in the percent

just

100%

It's the same thing with every device with battery. If you charge a nokia phone for 15min then the bars at left of the screen state that battery is full when you unplug the charger. But just wait until the light is off. I wouldn't be so sure about liquid06's theory.
