Hello. I'm trying to make audio CDs from a concert DVD. I've ripped the DVD audio into mp3 files using A1 dvd audio ripper Nero to burn, which offers the feature of adjusting the pause length between tracks. I tried to eliminate the pause time to give it the effect of continuity like most all live cds have. Nero gave me a message saying that my burner didn't support the no-pause setting and only allowed for 2 second and 3 second pauses between tracks.

I have two questions:
Is there some way I can find out what burners support this feature? It seems to me that it's a feature that very few people are looking for and so manufacturers are unlikely to print it on the box.
Anyway, I don't see myself converting concert DVDs to audio cd often enough to justify buying a new burner to to it. So this leads to my second question.
Is there a workaround involving using the cd burner I have and some ripping program like DVD Decrypter or something, to get those pauses between tracks out?
Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help.

Hi!

Well, I don't really guess that it's a burner's problem; maybe you should try some other software...
2 days ago I posted a real interesting new software called "AudioJack 2":

Maybe this program helps you! Ripping audio from (concert-)DVDs is one of the major features!

I hope my hint can help you!

Thanks for the response. I discovered what the problem was. I was calling up the Audio Track Properties window for each track in the compilation and changing the pause length that way. I belatedly noticed the two check boxes in the compilation window "Normalize All Audio Files" and "No Pause Between Tracks". (Those who are familiar with Nero Express will probably know what I'm referring to). I checked the box for "No Pause Between Tracks" and burned the cd and it came out with no pauses.
I'm not sure why that worked while changing the pause setting through the tracks' Properties didn't. Oh well...

As for AudioJack, it looks like a nifty tool. I'll be checking it out. Thanks again for the response.
