I use plain ol' Jet Audio. Was wondering what everyone else out there uses, maybe I'm missing out.

=)

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

i love the MEXP plugin its WAY better than winamp 5's media library thing. I can easily organize and access my 600+ albums and arrange them how I want. Its by far one of the best media catalogue plugins ever made. Actually worth the $30 to register it.

you use your mouse to f fwd and rwd? interesting, I never really thought of that...

for playing videos WMP works fine for me, but like I said winamp is much better for music playback.

I use VLC media player for watching video files. What I like about this is that it doesn't require the DiVX,XvID or other codecs to watch them but occasionally you might need them to watch certain types of video.

For listening to audio cd's I use WMP 10.0 (latest version I think).

For MP3's I use WinAmp v5.08e

And for DVD's occassionaly WMP or some other garbage program like Roxio DVD player.

@djscoop
Does your version of WinAmp have any advanatges over v5.0e and is the MEXP plugin worth buying.

I use Win Media Player 10. I don't think it's the best player, but it organizes my 10,000+ mp3s well and lets me update the ID tags easily. Real Player was a nightmare in organizing my files.

I use a very outdated version of Windows Media Player. I've always found it easy to use and I don't really have much to use it for anyway.

I have used the new version of winamp (5.x) but I honestly don't need any of the new features, so I just stick the the classic v2 version. I strongly beleive that the MEXP plugin is the best catalogue/music library organizer I've ever seen. I was very disappointed with the one that comes with winamp 5. You can download the trial of it and see what you think yourself, but I love it. The best is that you can create as many different databases as you want and have tons of ways to organize and list your music. I'm not one who enjoys paying for software, but this is one I beleive is worth it, if anything to help the dude who makes it so he'll keep making new versions!

Here's the website if you want to check it out.
