I am on a mac, and I guess its time that I get a PC too. (I Really want a powerbook but they cost too much). So anyway, this way I can be compatable with the rest of the world, as well as using mac os x at home. So here are the guidlines, a laptop Under $1000, at least 256 MB ram, a decent sized hard drive, QUIET, one of the many Intel processors (a lot of apps dont run on AMD), and reasonably light.
