Every other game i have ever done this way works fine any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated.

I am also having the same problem... Using Evox Dash and Avalaunch so far. I tried setting my Region to Auto instead of Default, I tried setting all three IGR=NO, still no dice. Just restarts the dash when I try to load the game. WTF - anyone? Bueller?

You will need to DL a default.xbe that is going around to get it to play off HD. You should be able to find it easy enough as its at most major torrent sites.

The answer is: Manually set the Game Region to NTSC(North America). I tried Default and Auto, and neither worked... NTSC allows HDD and DVD-R play.

Thanks for your posts guys but have tried these solutions and they haven't worked, plus does changing the game region affect the fact that my xbox is PAL and the game is PAL.

Ok got it to work. If anyone needs it go to your settings in the evox dashboard and change the region to NTSC north america and turn tsr to disable and igr off.

U bet! The game works fine for me. Though ripped to disc and it does not work, but off HD for now is fine. I will just go and hire it from video shop and copy the retail eventually!

MorrisMcD: please post your system specs to the other thread as above. We should be able to find some commonality for people who have tried the 'region' fixes and still can't get it to funciton with the TSR on.
 Thanks.

Check that your UDATA and TDATA folders are writable... Thats what was wrong with mine.. I couldnt even manually create a new folder under either.. Which is why the game wouldnt run.. I copied them to a dif drive, deleted them and then copied them back..
\
 Everything worked great afterwards

Hey guys this is the situation:
Im am also trying to get gta: san andreas to work ripped right to my HD and it wont work other games have though. Im using xenium ice and using Avalaunch as my bios and other games have worked fine. Reading through the forum everyone has had a lot of success using evox. I looked at Avalaunch settings and I can't even change igr and tsr as their not on their. My question is should I switch to evox and can I add that as an additional bios along with Avalaunch without deleting my whole HD and where can I get evox bios if need be?

Thanks again Great forum and Great site

I dont know if you really need a new BIOS to run a different Dash.. I am softmodded, and I know I can just drop the other dashes in sub folders on C.. Then you can use your default dash's file manager to browse to the xbe of the dash you want to run...
 Hopefully this helps you out...

I am not aware what is acceptable to talk about of this forum, but the classic answer is 'the usual place'
If I am stepping outside of the rules, I appologize, but go to IRC and join any EFNet server... Go to the room #xbins... You should be able to figure it out from there...
