i used to have an older version of this software which worked perfectly, recently i downloaded the newer version but i cannot get good connections any more.
All my router and firewall configurations are the same, but still no luck, i looked at the changable options, and i am wondering whether these options hold the clue i need.
What i would like to know is either where can i get the old version, because i know it works, or could someone please help me!

This should really be in the P2P softwate section, I will request it moved.

I think this may have something to do with the default port in BitTornado. Check your firewall to see what port was allowed for the old client, and change the new client to match.

Post back when you've tried please.

I have checked the firewall and all is as it should be.

But I have realised that my static ip has been somehow removed, could you please instruct me as to how i create a new one?

Also could you please tell me what i should be entering, what is a subnet mask?!? etc
also can i use two applications using the same static ip address, these are xbox live and torrent?

removed from where? You dont create IP addresses they are allocated by your ISP of through DHCP on your router. If you want to disable DHCP and have a static address, please check your router manual.

No this is never a good idea as I can cause conflicts.
