rempeg 2 problem?

hi guys i have a problem with rempeg 2 i'v been sucessfully using it for 2 months now and a couple of days a go i did a total install of windows so all previous data was lost the problem is when i download rempeg 2 again i open up the folder there is

1.the rempeg 2 application
2.a notepad
3.the cffl file

the cffl sample file is the problem it is a cffl file but it isn't blue when i try to open it it says check the web to see how this file was made as b4 all i did was open it and it and it was like a notepad i could write in it,i can't transcode jack untill i fix this problem any ideas guys

Graham - Did you try to right click on the CFFL; go to properties and associate Notepad with the file type?
