I got a couple of questions...

I just got a Rosewill DVD burner and i want to put movies onto some DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs...i have my slim PS2 under a two year replacement warranty from best buy, so i dont want to ruin it so i can put this PS2 towards the PS3 when it comes out...I would like to know if the slim PS2s will read movies from a DVD-R or if it will read movies from a DVD+R or both and if both which is better and what kind of DVDs should i buy???

Ok.
I always use DVD+R for my movies. I think -R would also work but i have not really tried them.
I use Philips 8X DVD+R which work great
even used Maxcell 4X DVD+R and they also worked fine.
Get a good burning program like DVD Shrink (it's free)
It works great and lets you reauthor your movie for better quality.
A movie will fit on a regular 4.7GB disc but DVD Shrink will have to compress it to fit, lowering the video quality. You will most likely only notice this on a high quality large screen TV.
By reauthoring the disc you can remove forien languages and subtitles to get better quality. You can also just copy the main movie without all the extra's for the best quality.

And your PS2 should play back up movies just like originals no problem. It will just noy play back up games without modding your system.

If your PS2 is new i.e. newer than version 5 then you should be fine with either DVD+R or DVD-R. Just remember to use good quality media such FUJI/TY, Verbatim, MAXELL, SONY and TDK.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
