Best way to backup VHS. PC or DVD Recorder

I want to back up my VHS collection to DVD disks.
What is the best way to do it?
Will I get better Quality copys from PC or a DVD recorder?
What are the best types of DVD recorders for editing VHS tapes?

I've always used PCs for burning DVDs, so I don't know the pros and cons of DVD recorders. If you want to use a PC, you're gonna need a capture card to plug your VCR output into. Whatever card you get usually comes with a program for capturing, mine came with Pinnacle Studio 8. Then you can edit using (probably) the same software. Then you have to convert to DVD and burn.
