i've never used any of that software but you have to convert downloaded files to mpeg and then to dvd files before you can burn them.alot of people use TMPEG or nerovision. i use cucusoft AVI to dvd.all in one software is easier but i like the quality of doing everything separately.dvd santa will do everything with on click from converting to burning.nerovision also will and allow you to make custom menus etc.

Ah I hope your talking about freeware etc. Downloading Hollywood movies is a NO-NO. Remember if everyone does it all the time. They wont make movies anymore. Something to consider

Okay if you want to burn your movies to DVD, (being that your movies are from programs such as Kazaa, Limewire, Morpheus, Ares, etc.) You should really get the program called DVD Santa. You install the program then click the media button. Then click add media, choose the movie file, and click to DVD Media or something like that. What it does is it takes the file and it DOES NOT MATTER WHAT TYPE THE FILE IS. It converts it to DVD format. It also Helps the file fit to the DVD R or RW! I was searching for ever trying to find out how to burn DVDs and stuff getting converters and all that DVD Shrink and Decrypters and transfering the files to ISOs and MPEgs 1 and 2. I hated it so i found something simple that takes litterally 3-4 clicks and its done. So if you want to burn your movies, clips or media, choose DVD Santa. go to ProjectW to get the easy full version.

You can get your movies in DVD format .... ie .... .VOB from the bit torent network.

http://www.torrentspy.com/

you will need a progy to do the downloading so one of the more popular is ....

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

I hope you have a lot of time as it takes on average 2 to 3 weeks to download a single movie in DVD format ......

I don't know ...... why waste so much time ..... just go buy the movie?

well a simple way to check ..... an AVI or MPEG will normally run around 600 - 700 meg in size ..... now a movie that is in DVD format ..... will run anywhere from 5 gig to 7 or 8 gigs in size .... or when you mouse over a movie you will get a popup / tool tip that can tell you a file extention. The info is all there for you all you have to do is look. bellow is a pic showing what I mean.

Most files you see (how would I know) on download sites use AVI format which is ok since computers can deal with them. If you want to watch it on your TV you need to reconvert it to something your home DVD player can deal with like VOB files or standard DVD stuff. Use a converter like DVD santa or anything that will convert AVI or mpeg etc.

This is kind of off subject but since I started the thread I hope you will give me some latitude. Has anyone figured out how to hide your ip# when using download sites? I really want to be invisible if I share my demo songs or demo movies.

you know, torrentspy does have its own section for all dvd-r's.

dont feel like giving link but:
directories > movies > dvd-r

its in there somewhere
and they are all huge 1+gig files.

so it will take awhile, unless u configured ur bit torrent client right and u have good connections
