Hi All,

I've been using DRM Pro and Nero Recode for a while now but lately I have a problem.

After ripping files to my hard drive and using DRM Pro to make any adjustments etc I can export fully working files.

I.E.

If playing the exported files from my hard drive everything works as it should, all menus etc.

However if I then use Recode to shrink the movie the resulting image will not play.
The 1st play menu comes up and all seems OK then if I select 'Play' the link video plays then it all just stops.
I have been discusing this with NERO for a while as in previous versions at the exact same point playback would lock up my PC or standalone player.

They were helpful at first and thought they had cured this but all that happens now is playback stops without freezing my computer.

Interestingly enough DVD shrink and Nero version's prior to 6.6.0.6
Both work fine with the same files.

I have studied the logs and so have Ahead but they report No Faults with either recoding or playback.

Anyone else had any similar problems ??

what app are you using to rip the files if you've had no errors any where during the process the problem has to be formatting,or media (whether crap or just non compatability) have you changed any default settings in your recode app. My personal suggestion is to just download DVD Shrink (free) and cut out the head ache.

Just to confirm.

The problem is not media based as even if I try to play a mounted image from my pc it don't work.

As for Shrink Yes I still use it, and it works but as you no doubt are aware the guy who wrote it now works for ahead and adapted shrink to become Recode. (His Nickname)

I find that the last working version of recode I have gives better results and less pixellation than Shrink
