My processor has puzzled me here lately.

I used to score 10,450 on the CPU part of aquamark3 and now I am only getting 6,700 and around that area. I have no idea why. Even on the 3DMark03, my scores have went down, and when I compare my ahtlon 64 scores to other athlon 64 scores, I'm lagging behind, where as before I was normal.

I've turned off Cool and Quiet, and back on. I don't know what could actually make the processor work slower even though it's still showing up as 2.4 ghz as always. It's an Athlon 3400+.

Nothing about it FEELS slow, like when I'm gaming or anything, but it's a very fast processor anyways, and games mainly rely on the GPU, not CPU at higher resolutions, so I wouldn't really be able to see much of a difference.

Any idea what I need to do? Thanks.

BTW:

VCore under full usage is 1.486V for the CPU according to Asus Probe, and it's 1.54 according to speed fan.

When Idle, the voltages are 1.502 according to the Asus Probe, and 1.55 according to speed fan.

Is that within the specs?

Just incase anyone ever has this problem, and finds this post, I figured out what MY problem was.

A week prior to me finding out this problem, I had moved my RAM sticks around, not allowing it to be 400 mhz, but only 200mhz, so I put them back in the correct slots and went back into the BIOS and locked them on 2:1 (DDR400).
