i know for sure god of war and GT4 are dual layered, therefore a little more complex to burn. i just want to know cause i dont know if i should get my ps2 chipped. if there are alot of DVD9 games out there then i wont break my head trying to decode, decrack, and play areound with the games files just to achieve a copy. all i want is to burn games the way i buirn dvd movies. simply read iso, and write iso.
so, what percentage of games out there are dual layered for ps2?
(and just to be certain, to burn a regular dvd ps2 game, all i gotta do in dvd decrypter is:
ISO>read *copy to harddrive*
and then
ISO>write *burn to dvd*
right?)
thanksss :)

ISO>write *burn to dvd*

Yup BhZd, you have the basic concept down. It is the same for burning DVD-9 and DVD-5. Just make sure you burn at the lowest speed possible and you use quality discs.

well i can tell you that for games if you use swap magic to boot your back ups don't waste any Dual Layer (DVD9) discs backing up games like GT4 or God Of War. You will not be able to play them unless you have a good mod chip. Swap Magic can't do it.
But other than that, i would say 97% of the games out there are regular DVD5 and you just use the method provided.
MODE->ISO->READ
MODE->ISO->WRITE
make sure you use good media too.
if you do get it chipped i think your best 2 choices are
DMS4 Pro or Lite or Matrix Infinity
Both can play DVD9 Back Ups after installing the flash for the chip.
If you get one make sure it has flash upgrades available.
Or you can save up and buy a premodded system
check out http://www.xmodd.com for more details on chips & systems

MODE->ISO->READ
MODE->ISO->WRITE
and im done? cuz i noticed a sticky on how to burn it and it looks darn confusing...
isnt therre a way to remove elements from the game (like credits or some FMV's) inn order to make it fit on a regular dvd5?

Yes, you can rebuild the game, and this will allow you to fit it on a DVD-5. Search for that tutorial on this site. I have an older tutorial for it, but the game freezes after about 75% into the game. Also, there is a DL of this game w/ it fully rebuilt and it is 100% working, you could try and find that out there.... The type of sites you want to look for starts w/ a T and ends with a T, lol
