for most games, ripping via toast works...it works for GTA, Tekken 5, DMC3, etc...

Yeah, that's basically all that you have to do...although some games may give you trouble.

eg, I'm having trouble burning MGS3 for some reason...made a bunch of coasters and it always crashes/hangs while burning. Dunno if it's me or the image.

Other stuff works fine though, whether it's CD or DVD...

actually...

Grab "Gumby", it's supposed to have some programs in it that help with PS2 patching, etc...I haven't had to use it, though.

What do you mean swap BS??

I have yet to have a problem, for some people it works, like myself. And for others it might not, or simply don't want to do the method. Don't go quashing someone's hopes just cause you don't like it. Apparently, the majority use the swap method here from what I've read.

PS2 v7 with flip top ? PSTwo Slim with flip top ? SM 3.3 ? Sony DRU-720A ? Taiyo Yuden 4x DVD-R ? A seven year old and a 3 year old who thinks that PS2 disks are skateboards

for one, it's annoying. it's easier and more convenient to just be able to pop the game in and play...less "ghetto", IMO.

2, some people's swap method causes certain games not to work or to load with shotty audio and skipping problems.

you have to admit, if you can afford it the way to go is modchip...

Is there a DVD Decrpyter type programme for the Mac then?

I have an .iso on my Mac (as its over 4gig and thus too big for my PC) and is there anyway to get that to work on my PS2?

What do I burn it with and how??

Cheers

Hey

when I try the simple 'disc copy', as it's preparing to fill the disk cache, an error message pops up,

" 'Title of the disc' could not be unmounted. All open files and programs on this volume must be closed first."

I push ok

then the name of the disc disappears next to the disc icon in toast, but the disc size still remains. If I try to copy it now it will burn, but I havn't been able to test the discs to see if they're usable.

Has anyone else run across this?
thanks
