Ok I wasted 4 damn discs and none of them freaking work. I have the slim kit pro and I thought it was the tools but it isnt because I used swap magic with a real ps2 game and it worked...so this is what I did.

I first burned ESPN NBA 2K5, iso read, iso write, insert blank and selected the ISO file...dont work.

Then I tried to burn Smackdown vs. Raw which doesnt need a fix. I did Iso read, iso write and I chose both the ISO and the MDS file and both discs dont work. I burned on 2X on all my burn attempts.

Oh yea and I updated my firmware so yeah.

I have a Sony Vaio with a Pioneer DVD-RW burner thing so Idk if its the burner or am I not using DVD Decrypter righht so please help.

Try burning at 4x. Which Pioneer do you have? Also do you have acces to any other DVD burners, because it might be your problem. I suggest you download the free version of DVDInofPro and do a PI/PO Error scan. That should show if there is a problem with the DVDs. Can you ask a friend to burn you a game with their burner, and see wat happens?

This might be a stupid question, but are you using the Swap Magic DVD Booter to try and boot your games

does your friend have a ps2?you could use your swap magic on his ps2 to see if the backups are the problem.or if you know someone with a modded ps2 even better.

go ahead and try his computer out and if it doesnt work,it is probably the slim tools not properly installed.alot of people have had problems with the slimtools not properly installed.and try one of your backups that didnt work on your ps2 on your friends ps2 and if they work, you know the backup is not bad.

Like I said Ostermann(owner of mod-chip.com or w/e) said that if a real PS2 game works with swap magic it isnt the tools so idk...also my friend has a mod chip in his fat ps2 and the game worked but when I tried it on my slim and it didnt work..so I will try on my friends new comp and if it doesnt work that will suck...anyways thaanks for the help post any other ideas if you guys have any.

His PS2 is probably more responsive to DVD media than yours is. I really suggest experimenting with different discs, and maybe cleaning the lens...

well if your backups work on your freinds ps2 then there is nothing wrong with the backups(even if he is using a modchip).the guy at modchip.com was probably afraid you were going to return the slim tool.recheck your installation,it will reassure you its not the problem.there is a peice that you have to wedge somewhere that has to be seated properly(some people have found this to be their problem).go back to http://www.mod-chip.com/index2.php?go=en/slim_kit_pro.htm and click on the manual and recheck everything.im telling you it might be the slim tools but if you dont want to try and find out then thats fine with me.

the manual from the site suggested puttin some tape on one of the peices and the peice that wedges in that hinge is what gave some people some problems you have to make sure it is pushed all the way down but dont try to force it too hard.but you have to understand that the problem cant be your backups or burner because your backups worked on another ps2.the problem lies with your ps2 and the only logical problem is the slim tool.it wouldnt hurt to clean your ps2 lens but it shouldnt be that dirty being so new.you never know.

How do you clean the lens? I hope I dont have to open my PS2..I bought the slim like 5 or 6 months ago maybe? And I cant make a piece of tape that small to fit Tool A, and Tool C, the one in the hinge is all the way down so IDK what to do.

well you have a slim so you should be able to see the lens after you open the lid.take a cotton swab and dip it in alcohol then squeeze out the excess.then wipe the lens gently a few times then use the dry end of the swab and wipe dry a few times.that should get your lens as clean as it is gonna get.then try your backups with the lid open and with the lid closed.some people complain that the sensors dont get adequately covered by the peices that go over them so that is probably why they suggested the tape.

Ok I will try to find some Alcohol if I have some or buy some..anyways this is exactly what I do in swap magic...see if its normal/correct.

Insert Swap magic dvd and when the menu comes out, then eject. It than says "Insert Bigger TOC Disc"..I then enter the backup game and closed the lid, load program didnt work..so then I left the lid open like a little and it didnt work when I did load and I tried all video modes so yeah...

Now for the alcohol.

damn man why didnt you tell me that before.you are not suppose to refresh the toc.heres what you do:
1.open the lid
2.insert swap magic then hit reset with the lid still open
3.wait for the load program screen and put in your backup
4.with the lid still open hit the x button and the game should play

with your slim tool i think you have the option to close the lid after the backup starts playing.well technically it is your slim tool thats the problem, its just the way you are using it.sometimes the simplest things get overlooked.

You cant leave the lid more open than like a slight bit because it days "Insert Bigger TOC Disc". And when we leave the lid slightly open and do load program it doesnt load.

We noticed tool B doesnt cover the little hole, it is supposed to be straight or sideways so that it covers the hole? Because we tried to take it out and put it back in slanted but the piece got "messed up" a bit and when we put it back in it still went straight.

you use rubbing alcohol.but the problem is your slimtools.you are suppose to be able to open the lid.that is what those peices allow you to do.they cover the sensors that tell the ps2 that the lid is open.the ps2 thinks the lid is closed and will allow you to boot hte swap magic with the lid open.here,go to this link and look at the magic switch installation DEMO VIDEO,youll have to scroll down the page to find it: http://www.swapmagic3.com/Swap_Magic_Feature.htm
