swap magics are not working

I have swap magic 3.3 and 3.6 and for some reason none of them are working. it load the swap screen comes up I refresh the toc and put original and boom the red insert ps2 screen comes up at first older games where working but know it seems like no games work at all it keeps going back to that same screen and i tried sevral other games and it just doesn't work. what sohould I do now.

How are you swaping slide card or fliptop? and why do you refresh the toc anyway?

I put the swap magic in when it say load program i hit eject switch wit a original game and hit eject again and wait for the toc finish loading and when thats finished at the load program screen I use my fliptop to switch the original game wit my back up and then hit x after that it always goes to the red insert ps2 game. And I always refresh the toc because for some reason without it it never works for me and as far as backing up games and media I now its not that because i've doing this for awile from rebuilding images to using cd and dvd loader and all type of other ways to backup games but for some reason these swao magics ain't working for like it got a v chip or somthing ( i now sounds stupid )but thats what it seems like and I have almost every media u can say so its not that neither

I don't know man that sounds strange. I have a fliptop and all i do is load swap magic when it say load program i swap for my backup with no problem i used to get a red screen only when the game is burned wrong and that was with swap magic dvd 2.0 i have 3.3 and 3.6 now and they both work fine. But tell me anyway what media you use and how do you burn

Yeah. You should go with the flip-top shell and Swap Magic 3.3 or 3.6 CD and DVDs. Those seem to work best.

try cleaning your lens.you have flip top so pop open the lid and wipe the lens gently with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol(squeeze out excess)then wipe dry with dry end of swb.if some of your games use to work butnow dont the lens being dirty might be the problem.

I know what your problem is you don't hit the eject button on the console this is what you do.

1. insert your swap magic.
2. wait for it to load.
3. Open the FLIP TOP and flip top only do not hit the eject button.
4. switch disks.
5. close fliptop.
6. hit x.

skite i tried that method already from another forum and that didn't work neither im telling ya'll its strange how it ain't working no more and by the way I've used verbatim, fuji, memerex, and tdk and none of them work I burned at various speeds wit decrypter and Alcohol 120 same thing i have so many blank dvd's its not even cool thats why I've been tring didffrent media like it ain't no thing so I don't know whats next i do apreciate ya'll help.

Did you try the slowest speed the slower you go the better the quility also check the lasers lens for scratches or dust.

i can tell you from years of using Swap magic on various PS2's
The method above by Skite is the right one.
That is how it works with a PS2 and flip top. Unless of course you forgot to mention that it is a new Slim PSTwo.
Then it will not work that way until you install a slimtool to keep it from reseting when you open the lid.
Or even better get a DMS4 Pro chip installed and stop worrying about swapping,rebuilding,patching,loading with a cheat disc, PAL or NTSC compatibility...and all those other nasty Swap Magic hang ups.

naw yaw its a old version but guess what I just came back from getting some new swap magic 3.6 plus dvd rom it might be old to ya but its new to me and finnally it worked but after all the coaster i had from all diffrent type of burning and media swithcing the very first one I burned wit Alcohol 120 worked dvd all the other burns was from DVD Decrypter at various speeds and none of them worked until I put the alcohol version in and walla it worked. well ya I guess my problem had been solved though I still didn't try wit other games and area 51 still doesn't work but i think I just burnst that wrong or to fast or what ever oh well I just want to play this from now on thanks ya.

but really though,clean your ps2 lens like i said earlier.you said you had old ps2 so the chances of the lens being dirty is greater.its harmless and quick since you have a flip top.and it helps more than you think.

well guess what I just tried to clean my lens and for som reason non e of my games are working except moh. At the load screen of s.m it keeps saying please insert a ps2 disc at the bootm and its doind that to everysingle game I have any suggestions and I just re-did sperman 2 wit Alcohol 120 and that theroy didn't work but funny all these games worked before wit s.m 3.0

I was wondering why your DVD Decrypter back ups were not working. Because i use it all the time and it works great.
