DVD Writing Error on Pioneer 109

Hi,

I've just bought a Pioneer 109, upgraded the firmware to 1.5 and put it in an Extnernal USB2 Casing I already owned...

I tried burning a DVD with nero and got, what everybody else seems to be getting, "SCSI command aborted", I've tried literally everything that has been suggeseted on this forum including, Rezeroing the drive, Using DVDfab, updating USB drivers, ASPI drivers etc... I'm still getting the same message. I'm also getting an error message with Alcohol 120% and the inbuilt software that came with the computer "Drag 'n Drop CD+DVD".

Its connected to a Laptop, Sony PCG-FR825P, 2.66 P4, 512Ram, in short.

Any suggestions would be greatly apprecited...

maybe there's a problem with the external case?? If you can get your hands on another one I'd try that. I take it this is originally an internal burner? Maybe take it out of the case and try it internally to see if that works.

It was originally an internal, and it worked fine while it was on IDE, so i'll see if i can get another case from somewhere???
