DVD PROBLEMS AGAIN

hi to all and thanks for reading my message
i am now struggling to copy DVD's

as i have now just formatted my pc

it has been suggested and i think they are on the right track
that i have not installed the power dvd disc
i have tried to do this task but the disc keeps asking for a serial number..that is where i am coming unstuck
the disc i am using is NVIDIA TNT2-M60
[edited: do NOT mention this again here!!!] ..but to be honest i havent a clue what i am doing or looking for..
can anyone help

it says windows 2000 xp
NVIDA TNT2-M60

but thinking about it..i am windows xp pro
my dvd player won't even play a film now
not sure whats happened
when i try to play a film
error says lower your screen settings
but i know there is nothing wrong with them ??

are you trying to copy dvds or watch them?? Because PowerDVD isn't used for copying dvds.
