Sucessfull users of Pinnacle Studio 8 ?.

I used to use Studio 7 to import digital video via firewire & Pinnacle Express to make/burn the movie to DVD-R.

Recently I upgraded to the latest, Studio 8, to do it all in one program. Not to mention the greater editing functionality compared to Pinnacle Express.

With Studio 8, the program locked up every time I tried switching to the capture tab. If I created a project from an existing .AVI, Studio 8 would lock the machine ( black screen & unresponsive keyboard) during the rendering. Going back to Studio 7 & Express works 100%.

Pinnacle support still hasn't responded to me.

I was hoping somedody here what have some insight, or experience in this area.

XP Home w all updates

There have been a number of issues corrected with patches and you can check them out there.
