A big hello to those experts out there, I am desperately having a problem need to be solved urgently. Recently I have downloaded a game to be burned to a DVD for PS2. Unfortunately these files comes in "gi" form which was something more advanced problem for me to encounter with as a newbie. When I unrar it, inside it contained about 4 gi files (There are wrx-hggd.gi ,wrx-hggd (11).gi ,wrx-hggd (12).gi and wrx-hggd (13).gi).
I managed to try to use alcohol 120 to burn it to a DVD and it was successfully burned too. When I right clicked to the properties of that DVD ROM with that particular DVD game in, it was a correct CDFS form just like normal PS2 game. Now the problem here is when I inserted this game to PS2 what I can ONLY see on my TV screen was just a white color playstation 2 word, after a while the whole screen will turned to black screen without any responses. To be honest, I wasted about 5 copied DVD discs on this and none of them freaking worked. :(
Therefore anyone out there who encountered problem like this before or who knows the answer to this please , please and please reply to me and show me a proper way to solve this solution. A very big thank you for those who willing to help me

Hi Miklodeon, thanks for replying me so soon. Well the original size for that file while still in a folder form was 3.78GB(4,068,632,373 bytes). The name of the game is Haunting Ground [PS2]. After open that folder and inside you can see so many winrars (something like book icons. When you select on to one of that books by double clicked on it and then these GI Images files appeared [wrx-hggd.gi 2KB, wrx-hggd (11).gi 2,097,120KB, wrx-hggd (12).gi 2,097,120KB and final file wrx-hggd (13).gi)277,600KB.]
Really hope you can figured out something about this. Hope this time I don't have to waste so many copy of DVD to experiment on with :P

don´t need to thank. one more thing i don´t know if you should try burning the 3,78 file instead the others. i think WinRAR is extracting that file like it can with iso files but that we don´t need. just burn the 3,78 file into a dvd.

dont know why DVD Decrypter didnt work for scorpion(just seen this post,as you have 2..tut tut)
dvd decrypter burns gi files
@miklodeon,
i think he meant the overall size was 3.78 gb's,
gi files are always split down further.pain in the royal ass
btw, just a tip.if you ever have any gi files that come up with an error when selecting the smallest gi file to burn,
there is an easy fix
open isobuster and then open up the smallest gi file,
the games files/folders will be listed on the right hand side
on the left, you will see "track",.....right click on this, and select "extract",extract it to a folder of your choice,
it will give you an tao image, then rename the "tao" part to iso and burn it
i have never used sonic record,so i will bear that in mind for the future
:)

Hi Hursty, Didn't think to meet you here too :) I managed to solved this problem already. I'd used the sonic recordnow software recommended by Miklodeon from ps2 - dvd backup discussion forum. And I've tried using your method by selecting the smallest GI image to burn, and it burned out so brilliant. Well...Now I'm not very sure whether whats wrong with it? perhaps the DVD disc I used not compatible with the DVD Decrypter program or maybe only this particular game so fussy and sensitive with DVD Decrypter. The strange thing when burned with DVD Decrypter was it just look absolutely perfect like normal burned successful game, but when inserted to PS2 time it won't played at all :P Anyway doesn't matter, I already managed to sort that out now. Hey mate! Once agian THANKS a lot man. You tought me lots in this and I will bear in mind next time when encountering problem like this. And meantime I could swap using these two programs and see if either which one can burn the game successfully.

Hi Bigticket, have you actually used the sonic recordnow to burn that "GI" Image? Beside this is the step you need to do when you using the sonic recordnow:-
1) - Click on the icon "Burn Image"
2) - Browse to the GI image which you extracted from winrar earlier.
Please make sure you select to the smallest size of GI image in
it. As I am awared of there are all together 4 GI images. You
don't have to worry about the rest of the GI images as even you
burn the smallest size of that gi image, it will eventually
pick up the rest of the GI images contain while finish burned.
3) - Notice of the red round button, at this stage after you have
browsed and opened that gi image this red round button will
turn green. CLICK on that green round button to burn it.If it
got the option to choose the speed then use the speed like 2X.
After that wait for it to finish burn and try agian the game in
PS2.:) Enjoy!
