Hi,
Im not sure if should be using this forum or the DVD+R forum so apolgies if im posting in the wrong one.
Today I purchased 50x Datwrite Titanium DVD+R's to backup my PS2 games and DVD movies. I have burnt a movie with no problems but im having major problems with the PS2 backups.
Am i right in thinking this medea is pretty poor for PS2's? It doesnt recongise Destroy All hums after a swapdisk so I tired dvd loader and that also didnt work.
So if these Datawrite are uselss for ps2 can someone recomend some fairly cheap dvds that will work. I got the DW Tits for £9.99 (x50).
Thanks in advance

I had probs with datawrite media in the past but my friend said his ps2 plays them fine, what speed do burn your games at and what version is your ps2?
I find that Verbatim are best for me.

Have you tried burning at x4 and also if you have it try copying\burning with Alcohol 120% or DVD Decrypter, if that does not work then you will have to look at getting some new media.
Also have you used dvd+r b4?
aye aye man

I tried with both Alcohol 120% and DVD Decrypter and neither work. also tired to burn at 4x speed but talso didnt work.
I was reading the Datawrite Titanium has a cr@ppy dye so Im guessing thats the problem. Are Verbatim relialbe and fairly cheap?
Thanks again

depending on the id code of the dye, datawrites can be ok
check out these 2
{DV 3201} Ridisc Xtreme (Ritek G05 dye) (8x) DVD-R in Spindle Tubs of 50
{DV 3146} Ridisc (4x) A-grade DVD-R in Packs of 10
from here
http://www.svp.co.uk/acatalog/dvd-rnoprint.html
i am currently using both of these
btw,if your ps2 is a version 4 or below, then they might be useless anyways "dvd+r"

then it should pick up the disks, the dvd rom drive should read the disks whether it is writable or not, unless the drive doesnt recognise the media you are using
try the disk in both drives
