Hey, I am wanting to refomat my hard drive but I do not have any recovery Cd's and that kind of stuff. In other words, all I have is my computer and my Win XP CD. Can anyone tell me if I can do the reformat and if I could possibly download some kind of software to allow me to do this?

My hard drive info is:

Maxtor 4R060L0
60GB
5400 RPM
Ultra-ATA/133

PS- I am trying to delete ALL of my hard drive because I am selling it, an well, nothing should be on it...

Thanks.

CPU - AMD Athlon64 3200+
GPU - XFX GeForce 6600GT
RAM - 768mb
MB -ASRock 939 Dual-SATA2
HDD - Maxtor 80gb 7200rpm
LCD - 19" LCD SCEPTRE

Put the XP cd in the drive and restart, you may need to go into your bios and tell it to boot from the cd, you will be given the option of formatting the hdd when it boots from the cd. You will need to delete the partition b4 you can format.
