Oh, it'll burn just fine, but playing it on your TV is a whole different story. PAL and NTSC are refresh rates. PAL usually refreshes at 60mhz and NTSC is a little higher (I may have that backwards, but anyway). Your US TV is configured to read signal coming from devices at the NTSC refresh rate, so if you put something in there that broadcasts out in PAL, you're going to get a grey screen that scrolls up and down really fast.

If you look on other parts of the forum, you'll see ways to convert the ISO you have that's PAL into NTSC compliant, but its tricky. Or, you can go to places like lik-sang.com and buy a PAL to NTSC converter for your TV that goes in-line from your PS2 to TV and converts it for you.

That's close to what I was talking about, but you need it to go the other way around. More like this http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=121&products_id=1687&

Swap Magic can load your PAL games on an NTSC system without converting the ISO
Just select the correct screen mode.
I am not sure what you use to load your back ups, that may help with answers.
