alright guys i just bought a comp from i buy power i know thats not the best brand but i took a risk i had the comp up and running for about 2 days and then it froze while i was playing counter strike source by the way the hard drive is western digital 160gb and i have a amd 3200 and 1g ram als nvidia 6600 256mb so it completely froze so i tuned it off and when i tuned it back on it would go to the first screnn like it always does but it just stays there no matter how long u leave it on i cant do anything except look at that same screen so can u plz tell me if my hard drives fried ive ardu ordered a new one for free but id like to know

can you get into the bios to see if it detects the hd

no it wont do anything it freezes at the first screen before it even detects the mouse or keyboard

Hey bdawg, I also purchased a computer from IBuyPower and have 160 wd hard drive. Anyways, try reconnecting the hard drive to see if that helps any and look inside your computer to see if everything else is properly inserted and everything is dustfree. I really don't know if any of this will work, but you never know.
