pioneer 106d not reading old burnt disc

my pioneer is not reading my old burnt discs ,it does read origional dvd`s some newly burned backups but not the old ones .

Time for a new burner, I would recommend an Nec 3520 or 3540. Great prices and many different firmwares available.

get a cd/dvd disk cleaner to clean the laser lens of the drive
