I am a new user of BT i have windows Xp Pro and i am experiancing extremely slow downloads as in 1-5 kb/s if im lucky or it just sits on 0kb/s for hours. i have so far done the static IP thing, Open ports 10001 and so on, removed my firewall and i am currently downloading a file that has 149 peers and about 24 seeds, i am at a loss and about to give up on the whole thing can someong tell me what im doing wrong please
your slow transfer could be attributed to a whole bunch of things,and without wanting to open a can of worms,you need to take a read through the stickys at the top of this forum
and be more specific,giving more details on what torrent client you are using
well im using Azureus and i have ADSL 256/64 kbps connection, i have opened some ports for Azureus and now have an internet gateway (im not really sure what that means or if im suppose to have that)
im having the same problem. im running Azureus and my max upload rate is on 80, i dont have a router, i port forwarded my firewall, what else is there to do. i still get the yellow smiley.
