Maxell, TDK and I used DVD Decrypter at 2x. All my 50 or more backups that I made work that way. And I use Swap Magic 3.3

well, I know it sounds strange, but sometimes the games work if you burn them at higher speeds. For all my backups I've used 8 speed mostly, and sometimes 4 speed... never anything less.
When I first started backing up games around 4-6 months ago I tried it with slower speeds and decryter to burn the image etc.. and had so many coasters it's unbelieveable..not one working copy that way. So I bought a copy of Nero for £1.70 or so online, only version 3.3 or something - then upgraded online free to Nero reloaded. Thought I'd try something different and just kept playing around with burn speeds etc.
And now I don't have any problems copying games just using decrypter and then Nero at 8 speed write. the only games I can't get to copy this way are things like mercenaries etc where you need to rebuild the image. once the image is rebuilt i still use 8 speed write on Nero though and it works brilliantly.
give it a go, it's only the cost of one disc to try it... and if that doesn't work try different speeds.
by the way, your 50 or so back-ups, do they sometimes load slowly or have jerky movie clips etc? mine used to do that when i backed-up at 2 speed..now they're fine.
hope that helped you... if not good luck

Well all of my backups are either on TDK DVD-Rs or Maxell DVD-Rs, so those are good media. Dont have any problems with movie clips and choppy music. Everything works ok.

And I use Nero too. All the time. At 4x or 2x.

hmmm strange that.... that you use the same method but can't get a working copy.
Didn't mean to offend you by trying to offer help or anything.. just that some other person reading this thread might get some help from my explaination of how I back-up my discs.
Anyway, hope you get it sorted out why this one won't work for you.
