yeah i know. when i found ad was when the sony protection came out in jan. been here ever since.i read(lurked) for the first 2 months before i asked the first question. while im here i did hide and seek with 1clickdvd and anydvd(main movie only). then after i read this thread i tried some other apps and they worked fine. if anyone is having problems with this one its probably a bad disc(original). buy the way thats a nice movie collection.

DVDCopy3 is the easiest to use! it's straight forward and just follow:
1. Source (put the drive of the DVD)
2. Target (the drive you write with)
3. Copy (if it's a single layer blank media, then keep it at 4.7G
if it's a Dual Layer (DL) use 8.5G.... get the picture?)
hit the burn button that's simple enough, isn't it?
don't forget to use AnyDVD or DVD43 with this program for it won't backup copyrighted material!

***Also if you want to use a different burning program so you can adjust the speed of the burn, then you set the TARGET to an empty folder, then you can use your burning program!

Hope this helps!

Yes..... unless you want to split it into 2....... it's real easy...... you can also check the bar on the side of the burn button..... it will show you Disk 1 Disk 2 ...... check that box and you should only see Disk 1 there! it will also show you how big the disk will be and also the quality of the compression! just look and you shall find!

ODB992001:

>>>>Ok guys my computer is 128MB memory and 2.0 processor. e machine, i got from best buy 2 years ago. 80 hard drive. <<<

First things first, 128 MB is what I would call a "bare bones minimum" if you are going to try to do any sort of video editing, transcoding of video, ripping, and burning. Video is a memory intensive function, and DVDs are made up of such huge files that any sort of encoding or transcoding also ends up being a huge resource hog. I am quite frankly surprised that you have had any success at all with only 128 MB. I used to try to rip and burn some stuff on my last PC (and I also occasionally did video editing) with 512 MB of RAM. This got so frustrating, and I had so many crashes that I eventually upped my memory to 758 MB, which helped a lot.

I know you said you have been able to rip and burn in the past without this error, but maybe you were just barely able to do this, and you now might have something new running in the background, using up some memory, and this just "broke the bank." Are you familiar with Task Manager, in Windows? It lets you take a look at all of the hidden programs that are running in the background at any given moment, and also see how much memory they are using (like my virus checker, firewall, my printer software monitoring program, and way, way too much additional garbage...)

My second thought: How much free space do you have on that 80 Gig hard drive?

If you are running out of free space, it is possible that this would show up as a memory error, since Windows uses a lot of hard drive space as a "swap file," and treats this as memory. If it does not have the free space to save huge temporary "swap files" onto your hard drive, then it could report this as a memory error. Every DVD you rip is taking up almost one-tenth of your hard drive, of course. (Until you get rid of it). Windows is taking up more than that. How are you doing for extra room?

Brue999, it's ODB. I don't have much on my computer, its two years old and all i use it for is to make my backup of my movie. and surf the webb. its just hide and seek that won't let me copy the extra thatis on the disk. but i did get just the main movie copy so i'm happy about that. i have like 5 or 6 movies on my drive now and when i home i will copy to disc. thats all on my hard drive, it's a 80GB. all the other movies i pick up at the store after hind and seek, i have no problems with them, it's hide and seek and i try my copy, and the i used my brother and the same thing rip it ok with decrypter and when shrink gets to 93% it's said one file is to small and out of memory. so my copy and my brother's copy did the same thing. i have no problem with my computer saying the again. ODB

Check the suggestions in this link and see if they help any. Not sure if its the same type memory problem or not but worth a try.
