I have gone through every other fourm for this, and tryed every suggestion, but this is really annoying and i really need help.

I have been using torrents for some time now, how ever last time i downloaded some thing was probaly 2 months ago. well the other week my step brother moved, hooked his computer up to our home network and asked bout bit torrents. so i showed him, got him downloading at 100 kb/s and decided to start my self. well i won't even let me connect. i have opened ports, sone every thing i can find, and still nothing. all while my step brothers downloading at 100 kb/s and doesn't have ports or any thing opened for him. can any one help me, i could really use it

Im assuming you have a router sharing your connection. You need to find out what IP addresses have been allocated to the 2 comps and make sure they both have forwarding for the required ports on the router. It may also be a good idea to have each comp use different ports for BT. If you have any problems configuring your router try www.portforward.com

Well you seem to jave missed the point of this forum here. The idea is that you post a problem, we try and help, but if you mind a solution in the menatime you post it here so that other may benefit.

What was your problem and how did you fix it please.
