thx sui and serrano, yeah i have TDK 4x DVD+R media on my v4 PS2. i burned it using sui's guide and it works fine. no patch needed for me.

I didnt use a patch, I rebuild it also, I said I used a patch just because a lot of things were floating in my head.LOL. No problem.

thanks but I dont have a dvd/iso on my dropdown. I have burn disc image, make a data dvd, wma dvd, dvdvideo,backup files, etc.

You have to open Nero Startsmart>open Nero Burning Rom>and it should be a drop down menu.

when i start the program it says dvd cd withj those options I just mentioned no burn dvd rom

you could do it with cdvdgen but it takes longer to explain and do.
but just to clarify,you opened up the windows start menu and then opened programs menu.then went to Nero and didnt find Nero burning rom anywhere?you could try downloading the demo version fo Nero by clicking on the blue Nero text.i dont know if it will allow you to have 2 versions of Nero on at the same time,but you could try.
cdvdgen is more time consuming and more difficult to explain to somebody.going with Nero is easier and faster so you should try to do that way first.but if you want to know how to do it with cdvdgen,i could tell you how.

I downloaded 6.61 and my options under dvd data are as follows: make data dvd and make bootable data dvd. My options under copy and backup are as follows copy to dvd, burn disc image, back up files, restore back-ups, schedule back ups, and back up to hard drive.

look for advance options on the main menu screen.select that then udf/iso will appear under data i think.

The Nero i have downloaded is Nero Burning ROM v6.6.0.14. but i cant find dvd/iso mode can anyone tell me where i can get a different Nero program

get the correct version
use cd/dvd gen instead
or dont rebuild it
