For those who can't read MSN language.

I'm using the latest version of Azureus and I'm running XP and my connection is T1. I also can't spell properly but that's okay because Toiletman knows what I'm saying.

Well McTwist (at least you managed to capitalize your name, that's a good start), your problem might be that you used the LATEST version of Azureus. Switch back to 2.2.0.2 and see if it's any better. I'm still using 2.2.0.2., there has been MANY problems with the newer versions of Azureus.

HELP!!! Even though I can't spell better than the average Kindergarden kid.

Well, luckily for you, I have posted a sticky full of gr8!! suggestions. You probably didn't look at them due to your intelligence, but here they are:

Laugh out loud sorry. Is this better? Oh yes I have looked at that thread before I posted. Thank you I will try to switch back to whatever version you told me to. Thank you and have a nice day! I have to go to guitar lessons so I'll do it when I come back. Goodbye.

Ok, I switched back but my downloads are the same. So I switched back to the newest version and my downloads were over 100kb/s and the fastest I have gotten was 128kb/s.

But now they are the same, anywhere from 5 kb/s to 25 kb/s. My uploads are more than my downloads is that right?

Thank you

Ok I have just changed my upload speed to 20 kb/s and now my downloads are higher than my uploads. They are around 25 kb/s to 40 kb/s. Is there anything I should do? Upload speed was set to 80, so I changed it.

Well, normally I set my DOWNLOAD limit to 0, basically unlimited, and I set my upload limit to 25.

You might want to try that. The other thing you might want to try getting into sites that require registration, those are usually incredibly fast, and you might find yourself capping out. =D

Download speeds jump up and down, so you shouldn't check every second but rather every 5 minutes or so to determine an "average" speed, if you get my drift.

Hi... i use bitlord and have 'bulldog broadband'. when i've been looking through posts to compare download speeds I've been confused with kb or KB. we get between 40-45 KB download rate, and wondered how that compared to peoples kb rates.

hi all.i tried alot of suggestions found on the board but nothing really worked.
i'm using microsoft xp sp2, disabled the firewall and switched from Azureus 2.3.0.4 to 2.2.0.2.i have the green smiley face,NAT check said there's no problems.i'm not using a router.i capped my upload rate to 20kbps and download rate to unlimited.i'm using a 25mbps cable connection.

a week ago, when i tried downloading with Azureus, i got a 150kbps download speed.nowadays, i'm getting speeds of 20kbps.also, my upload speed keeps increasing to 20kbps and decreasing to 2kbps.it's the same with my download.i modified my outbound connection from 10 to 50 but it didn't work also.anything i can do to increase my download rate cause i still have 31 more queues to finish...
