i have azureus 2.3.0.4 amd when i go to download things like games (all the games i have downloaded i have the origional copys (legal!:D)) i get a download speed of about 10 to 15 kB/s i dont know if this is the average speed or anything, but if its slow how do i change my settings to make it faster :( (btw i have winxp OS and speedtouch onetell dial up broadband usb ( 512 kB/s ) please help me im sick of waiting about 3 days for a gamcube game. thankyoo xx

How many seeds/peers are you connected to?

On a 512 connection your upload speed should be set to around 12 I would guess. This would make a difference to your d/l speed if you have it set any slower.

My 1.1 connection only gives me on average a d/l speed of around 50 kB/s peaking at 80 so don't be taken in by these claims of huge d/l speeds you might have heard especially if your connected to an unpopular torrent.

wow! i set my upload speed to 12 kB/s (from 195 kB/s)and my download shot up to 39 kB/s! oh and i have 2 seeds on one torrent and 5 on the other ^_^

That sounds better. I would imagine you've got things going about as good as it gets on a 512 connection. On a torrent with 10 or more seeds you could even get higher d/l speeds.
