I am using dvd decrypter to copy my personal dvds. However, when burning a movie to media using Roxio and a Plextor 716 burner, the burnt dvd skips scenes. I thought it was a problem with the original dvd, but I watched the original without problem and there seems to be no scratches. So, it must be the burner or the software. Is there some other program I should use to burn the dvds? I would appeciate any advice.

What brand of media (blank DVD's) are you using?

Slow the burn spped down or try burning with DVD Decrypter.

Try using the guide at my website (link in sig) backing up your DVD with DVD Shrink and Decrypter.

If your using roxio 7.5, that may be a problem. Your plextor is solid with most any media, if you have the latest firmware. I had all sorts of problems with 7.5, just what you have described. Download and use DVD Shrink. Roxio does have a program called easy dvd copy. Works only with dvd, I have used it with good success.
