Ok! I know this guy. He works with the computer a lot. Can you download a movie in five minutes with cable or dsl. Because he did it.... It's that p2p that he's useing or are there other programs.

I say 5 mins was pushin it a bit, must have one hell of a connection. And yes there are other ways besides p2p .... newsgroups .... ftp etc..

Can I ask what kinda movies he is dling in 5 minutes? QT movie clips, AVI clips, RAM/RM? unless your buddy has a megapipe like a 100Mbit + connection, I hightly doubt he's pulling down a DVDR in 5 minutes. For that matter an SVCD either

ahh sounds more like a streamed video from like Google video , a porn site maybe. Not actually downloading the whole movie per say, dling neeeded info to his hdd/desktop and whatever player he is using (realplayer, QuickTime, BSPlayer etc) is probably launching and connecting the site , playing the video as it feeds from the site.
