Ok, just ripped Tears of the sun and burned it w/o checking the quality. My Bad. Anyways, it came out great with one exception. It plays like a reject from the 90's VH1 pop up video. Little baloons of information keep popping up trying to teach me something. Any one know why?
Thanx

HAHA, I remember pop-up video. How did you rip it? What program did you use to burn? Sounds like some kinda subtitles, have your tried pressing the sub-t button in the remote while your watching it?

I dont have that paticular movie, but if its an "Infinifilm",they have the popup thing, that tells you how the scene was shot, and if there are deleted scenes etc. These dvd's usually have 2 or more versions of the same movie, you just chose the wrong one.

I agree with the reply above, this sounds like it was an InfiniFilm or some similar "multiangle" or "seamless branching" version.

In some cases, the above reply is correct. There may have been two or more "main movie" titles on the original disc -- one with the popup options, and one without. If you chose the wrong one, you may have to re-do the original rip. Or, if you chose all versions, you may find that just hitting the proper buttons on your remote will advance from one version to the next. (Try "angle" and "subtitle" and also "display" on the remote, and explore to see what options are on your burned disc).

Used decrypter and shrink. And seeing as I did a full disc back up I'm pretty sure I got the right title. I'll have to try the sub-t button I didn't think of that one.

Yes I would try that or some dvd players have a function where you can choose the angles, try doing some toggling, the right one has to be there.
