I had been burning dvds perfectly. Lately when I burn a dvd, it either comes out blank or has a really light ring on the dvd but it has nothing on it. It doesn't read in my computer on dvd player. I had been using dvd copy xpress. Then I changed to DVD Fab Express. Still the same problem. I changed dvd media 3 times. What is the problem? Still burns cds perfectly though.

I agree with GrandpaBW check your firmware, also, try burning at a lower speed Xcopy will burn at the highest speed by default. FabExpress does have a setting try using 4x.

agreed with the above 2 posts, firmware would be the 1st issue in question, THEN, a trip to the GOOD media fairy MIGHT be in order, may i ask what dvd blanks you have been using? good luck~

Started with memorex, moved to tdk, now using verbatim. I'm about to update the firmware now.
