Alright to clear all uncertainness about whether i have done all it says in the forums. I have read an innumerable amount of threads regarding Port forwarding, Read the one in the beginning of the forum page, Used the information on Portforward.com (including setting up a static IP), Azureus guides (both the afterdawn.com one and others posted on the internet), Also tried my fair share of BT clients with no success (Bitcomet, Original Bittorrent, Azureus, Bittornado).

At one point my download speed was going at an average of 85 kb/s but it did not last long. On Azureus my smileys have never gone green except when downloading something for azureus itself e.g. the update patch, or java client. The worst part is after so much fiddling with my router, firewall, seprate client settings now i have very little if any activity. I seem to have made things worst.
As of now i officially gave up and reset my router, windows firewall and clients to their default mode. I am seeking help to try this again because i have 4MB connection and i dont think it should go to waste.

Here i give you my hardware specifications:

Router: Motorola WR850G
ISP: Time warner (Road Runner)
SPeed test from DSLreports.com:
2005-07-14 18:15:44 EST: 4511 / 352
Your download speed : 4619341 bps, or 4511 kbps.
A 563.8 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 360587 bps, or 352 kbps.
Prefered BT clients: Azereus, Bittornado, Bitcomet
Prefered Torrents site: Torrentspy.com, THepiratebay.org, Torrentsearch.US

If any one could help me (i know im the thousandth person asking this) it would be greatly appreciated. I now have 0kb/s downloading with all torrents i download.. so basically im screwed.

well i did something that i read on here i enabled DMZ and i have Green SMileys and My speed is pretty damn good right away..but then im worried about security. If i have DMZ enabled will a firewall from MCafee protect me? i have Zone ALarm and Mcafee virus scan and firewall 05 should be enough?

Glad to hear its all good.
I have McAfee AV + ZoneAlarm and have had no problems at all.
I'd say your OK, just watch out as sometimes files contain Spyware, Adware etc...

Be sure to use either peerguardian2 or protowall also they are a must have.

well with these speeds i download 700mb files in less than an hour. And it all depends on the users uploading to me. Cant get greedy =]

EASY MONEY PPL GO TO:

http://www.surfjunky.com/?r=gopensgo

*No credit card or any payments required*

Really easy, all you do is sign up and enter where you want them to send your check.

-Next, log in and go to the "earn money" tab. Click where it says "Click here to start the Surf Junky Browser".
-Your web browser window will pop up and rotate ads.
-Leave it on overnight or something, and you make money for all the time you leave it on.

-It's 45 cents per hour if you just leave it alone and dont sign up for anything, but it adds up if you just leave it running whenever
you aren't at your computer.

Ive already gotten 2 checks from them, they send out a check every month, as long as you have made 25 dollars.

http://compnetworking.about.com/cs/networksecurity/g/bldef_dmz.htm

read that if that doesnt help you then my layman's explination is. Something that can be enabled to allow your ports to be accessed by outsiders without interruption. Could be potentially dangerous, Unless 1) you dont care THAT much about security, or 2)you have a secure computer and ports as do i.

If your going to enable DMZ i suggest you Get Mcafee AV and Firewall, and zone alarm. Then you should be fine.
