Metal Gear Solid Backup Problem

I am having trouble backing up Metal Gear Solid 3. I get error reading at about 8% every time. This happens when I am actually trying to create an image on my hdd. I have used Alcohol 120%, DVD decrypter and also Nero Vision Express but I get errors all the time. I am also getting the same error with Drakengard. Most people say that the game does not require and special procedures but I have no idea why it doesnt work. Cheers

Hmm soudns like the game has scratches or something...thats the only thing that i feel is logical..

Hmm, I actually took a look at the disc. There arent any scratches at all. Maybe its because I am trying to backup from a backup disc or maybe my DVD burner cant read that disc or maybe the backup disc wasnt copied properly the first time around.

Ok.. I took the disc to my friends house and it burned perfectly. I have just found a thread saying my DVD burner.. BENQ 1620 Pro isnt very good at backing up PS2 DVD games. Its only a couple of months old.. Oh well, I guess I have to get a LITEON or Pioneer.
