I have a V.2 ps2, with a duo2se modchip, I recently tried to play an original ps2 game(madden 05) online, and it gave me error 402 everytime. I did manage to get it to load sucessfully 1 time, but I don't know what I did to make it work. I tried to disable the modchip by pressing reset while in stanby position, but I never get any "blue clouds". Anyone know what I'm dealing with here. maybe a bad install of the chip?
You need to patch the dnas into the game...when making a copy of the game dnas gets scribbly and by that it doesnt allow you to get online so u would need to patch it.....do a search on it because i forgot how to do this since i have not done it in a while
do you have your network settings saved on your memory card, and if it is the original game there is no patching, make sure your tirning off the mod chip..
Make sure you have the network settings saved to your memory card and there is no patching needed for a original game,Also make sure your turning off your mod chip
deacon- I tried turning it off, but I'm not sure if it's working everytime, I hold in the reset button while it's in the standby position, but I never see any "blue clouds" that I'm supposed to see when it gets disabled. how long do I need to press the reset but for it to become disabled?
I just find this online take a look... The Magic DUO 2se ModChip is the world first PS2 v1-v10 ModChip solution with ONLY 17 WIRES !!! and allows you to play any PS1 and PS2 Imports / Backups (CD, DVD, CD-R, DVD+/-R) without swap method.
The DUO 2se Chip is compatible with v1-v10 USA, EUR, JAP PlayStation2 consoles (NTSC, PAL) and DVD 9 ready.
With the new disable function the Magic Duo 2se Mod Chip is network and online ready - boot with reset for 5 seconds and the chip turns off and leaving the PS2 in it's 100% original state.
update- it works flawless now. I was hitting the reset button to load the game(which in turn was re-activating the chip), when I should have been hitting the tray button instead to load the game.
