Do you guys think this card is fit for gaming at all? I dont need extreme vid cards for $500, im upgrading from integrated 64mb, I just need something to run games like guild wars and maybe battlefield 2. What do you guys think of this card? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102404

Yeah, that card should suit your needs. Get input from other members if possible (DO NOT double post, you will get banned for that).

The 128-bit 9250 (i.e. that one) with 256MB memory is probably the best value low-budget card about. Although for extreme usage i have upgraded from my 9200 equivalent, everything was more than satisfactory with it. Go for it.
Interesting sig, pop_smith, the outcome hasn't yet depressed me, though i wonder just how much benefit the extra 120mhz memory speed gives me...

Yeah I think its a very good card for that price, and I'm probably going to order it this weekend. Do you guys think it will run games like Battlefield 2, Halo, and Guild Wars?

Halo will be fine, as will guild wars, but you might struggle with Battlefield 2.

If playing Battlefield 2 is a must, then I suggest moving up to a 9550 or 9600, which are still excellent value cards.

I agree, that card will work for you. I have the 9550 and I play everything on high settings.

Aight guys...I found 128MB ASUS vid. card for $55, but it's only 128MB and has a 64-Bit interface. Would it still perform better than the above listed Radeon 9250 at 256MB and a 128-bit interface? http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Manufactory=&Proper...

only 128MB is not a problem for lower end cards, but DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES get a 64-bit one, they are around 20% as fast as 128-bit cards.

it's not that, it just won't accept any low-end card, to be fair i wouldn't expect that much from battlefield 2 until you reach the 9800 section really given by the astounding requirements. Plus if you have a 64-bit 9250 it's really an 8000...
