Yes, this is about trying to burn GT4, sorry. I have looked through the entire GT4 topic and, for one, it's long and confusing, and two, it doesn't really help.
Here's my stats before you read the error:
Burner: NEC DVD+/-RW ND-2510A v2.16 (ATA)
Software: DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 (newest)
Current Profile: DVD+R DL
Disc being used: RIDATA DVD +R DL
Disc Information:
Status: Empty
Erasable: No
Free Sectors: 2,634,112
Free Space: 5,394,661,376 bytes
Free Time: 585:23:37 (MM:SS:FF)
Disc ID: RITEK-D01-01
Condition: Brand new, scratch-free
One important thing to note is that I have tried burning this on my Dad's PC (NEC burner as well, but his is a newer version) and it gives the [boldsame error. However, we have the same DVD Decrypter settings (pretty much the default settings), so I don't really know what difference the change in PCs would've made.
I have never had any errors with single layer media, but this one is just annoying me.
Here is the error:
I/O Error!
Device: [1:0:0] _NEC DVD_RW ND-2510A 2.16 (E:) (ATA)
ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition
CDB: BF 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 OC 00 00
Interpretation: Send DVD Structure - DVD+R DL Boundary Information
Sense Area: 70 00 03 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 02 00 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: No Seek Complete
So I hit "Cancel", it reads up the buffer and then says:
I/O Error!
Device: [1:0:0] _NEC DVD_RW ND-2510A 2.16 (E:) (ATA)
ScsiStatus: 0x02
Interpretation: Check Condition
CDB: 2A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 20 00 00
Interpretation: Write (10) - Sectors: 0-31
Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 30 05 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format
So I hit cancel again, and it takes me back to the main screen of DVD Decrypter... fortunately, it didn't attempt to burn anything because of my cancellations, so the disc is still empty with zero sessions written.
I tried a method in the GT4 topic that said to change the Book Type to DVD-ROM, but that doesn't change the error.
Does this represent a bad disc? I only purchased the 1 disc as DL media isn't something I need an abundance of.
Thanks in advance.
